About me

I am a fourth-year PhD candidate enrolled jointly at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and Archimedes AI, where I am very fortunate to be co-advised by Ioannis Panageas (UC Irvine) and Aris Pagourtzis (NTUA). I have been a visiting doctoral fellow at the GOAL-Lab at UC Irvine and the AI Lab of the University of Piraeus. During my PhD, I have also been very fortunate to closely work with Panayotis Mertikopoulos (CNRS) and Gabriele Farina (MIT). Prior to pursuing my PhD, I obtained an M.Sc. in Data Science and Machine Learning, as well as a joint B.Sc.-M.Eng. degree in ECE with a major in Computer Science, all from NTUA. During my master’s studies, I completed a successful Applied Science internship at Amazon in Barcelona, where I was mentored by Hermina Petric Maretic.

I expect to complete my PhD in Summer 2027 and am seeking postdoctoral opportunities starting in September 2027.

Research Interests

In general, my research lies at the interface of theoretical computer science with algorithmic game theory, optimization, reinforcement learning, and computational complexity. Current areas of interest include:

• Computing/Learning equilibria in structured games (e.g., Markov games, polyhedral games)
• The computational complexity of hard problems in game theory and non-convex optimization
• No-regret learning under imperfect information

Recent News

• 2026.09: New paper on the complexity of finding positive index Nash equilibria. Our result answers an open question posed by Constantinos Daskalakis in his Nevanlinna Prize lecture at the 2018 International Congress of Mathematicians.
• 2026.09: One paper accepted at NeurIPS 2026.
• 2026.09: New paper on the complexity of coarse correlated equilibria in Markov games. I will give a talk presenting this work in ACAC 2026 in Athens, Greece. Got accepted at SODA 2027!
• 2026.06: In July, I will be at WALE 2026 in Lemnos and at Greeks-in-AI 2026 in Athens. I have two spotlight-oral presentations accepted at Greeks-in-AI 2026.
• 2026.04: New paper on the complexity of avoiding strict saddle points in constrained optimization.
